Ethernet
(Leased Line)
Ethernet connectivity provides a secure, uncontended, connection with speeds of up to 10Gbps. Essential for running business-critical applications.
Both ethernet and FTTP are provided over fibre, however, ethernet is 100% uncontended (dedicated) so you won’t share your connection with anyone else, which means no decrease in speed when the network is busy.
Ethernet availability is over 99.9% and a comprehensive SLA ensures any issues are dealt within a contractual fix time of 4 hours.

SoGEA
(Single Order Generic Ethernet Access)
Benefit from FTTC connection speeds without the need for a traditional phone line. Save money and simply pay one provider for one service.
SoGEA uses the same infrastructure as FTTC and has the same geographic availability. It provides cost-effective, future-proof connectivity as we move to an all-IP network.
FTTP
(Fibre to the Premises)
FTTP utilises purely fibre optic cables and is ideal for businesses with high bandwidth demands, but without the investment of a leased line.
Unlike ADSL and FTTC, FTTP connects the last part of the network by fibre, removing the bottleneck and resulting in speeds up to 25x faster than FTTC.
FTTP is a future-proof solution; your speed will continue to improve as the technology evolves. It is expected that over 95% of UK businesses will have access to FTTP by 2022.

FTTC
(Fibre to the Cabinet)
FTTC uses a mix of fibre optic and traditional copper telephone lines to provide a fast and affordable broadband service for small to medium sized business.
FTTC delivers speeds of up to 80Mbps (download) and 20Mbps (upload) and provides a much more stable connection than ADSL.
The added speed and reliability as well as the improved SLAs make it a good choice for businesses that need reliable uptime and faster download and upload speeds.
ADSL
(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line)
ADSL is the most widely available and usually the cheapest type of broadband solution available in the UK. It works using the copper wires of your telephone line.
Performance is dependent on a number of factors including how far you are from your local exchange and the quality of your line and the service available to you.

“Connectivity is vital to ensuring your business stays agile, responsive and competitive. Your broadband solution should always grow in line with the demands of your business.”
